PostSubject: Look what just arrived!   3/31/2011, 10:15 am

After searching endlessly for any Euscorpius species for sale I finally found a guy selling an E. italicus. Yaaayy lol!
It is a female. He was selling it as a mated female but at the moment she isn't looking to gravid. I will just have to wait and see what happens with her over the next few months. And to be honest I am not even that fussed whether she is gravid or not as IMO she is one of the best looking scorpions I have so far owned lol. You can probably tell I am excited about getting her lol.
Anyway heres a couple of pics of when she first arrived today.

What do you mean by which size made it lol? If you mean how long she is shes about 4.5 - 5 cm tail and pedipalps included so she is an adult female.

Hi Bex is that E. italicus or E. flavicaudis? I know i'd seen on an old post that you had got E. flavicaudis. When I first saw the pics of mine i thought it may be E. flavicaudis. It has yellower legs than I thought E. italicus has but its vesicle is much darker than E. flavicaudis which suggests E. italicus. It's also bigger than E. flavicaudis is described to be. Its definatley around 5cm whereas E. flavicaudis is described to reach around 4cm.
I think I'm vearing towards E. italicus but I'm still not 100% sure lol.
A second opinion would be good though lol.

Well mines definately an adult. They are pretty small scorpions lol. Adult size is around 4cm for E. flavicaudis and 5cm for E. italicus.
