| Holy cow, those are some awesome critters!  I'd never even heard of a few of them. The electric hermit crabs are pretty sweet.  I've heard mantis shrimp can strike so powerfully they've broken aquariums (usually to their own demise).

| wow! how big were your tanks??? is that a volitans lionfish? do i see two BTA's there as well or is that some kind of coral.
what costs caused you to stop? electricity i would guess lol! must be about 10 plugs per tank! skimmer, heater, power-heads, halides, fan to cool them etc. etc.
i was on the verge of turning to marine but had a good long think about the ethical side to it as well as maintainance, cost etc. and decided to leave the live rock in Fiji lol! |
