Absurd prices aside, they just seem unknowledgeable. A tank bundle advertised as appropriate for emps, consisted of a uv heat lamp, sand, and a desert rock for hiding. I don't remember it being like this when I worked there. Hopefully I have better luck at Petcetera, or another chain.

bloody petshops! buy from private breeders... people who most of the time, know what they are doing!

i cant remember the last time i bought invert or invert stuff from a retail shop. we use private breeders and go to invert shows, you save a fortune!

What you ought to do is tell them about the things theyve done wrong they might not listen but you can at least try.

I know this is an old topic, but I had to throw in 2 cents. I worked there as a young guy, and this company should be shut down. The majority of animals they buy from wholesale will die. Inverts are fairly tough, so that might be a bit safer... But 99% of their reptiles died no matter what care they recieved. E coli, and other bacteria were in the reptiles foaming mouths. They died horrible deaths. The puppy mill bus smells so bad, often the puppies are spewing various fluids as you carry them from the smell of death truck.

They usually lived, but this was a bad experience.

in fact, even their tarantulas, snakes, etc were all on that bark. terrible!

So a few weeks ago we got a asian forest scorpion and they had it on sand with out water and we bought it and last monday he passed away they also told me he was a young female NEVER BUYING FROM A PETSTORE AGAIN the reason we know it died of natraul causes is that morning it was very slugish and sort of draging it self around and was sort of mopey ( venom )
just goes to show that they'll do anything to get a sale

Ok my two cents.... There was a petland near me here in Pa they have since gone away, but the owner of the place got caught killing a kitten. He had a kitten that he was selling and it got sick and instead of taking it to the vet he put it in a freezer. He then took the kitten out to the dumpster to find it wasn't quite dead and he then beat its head off the side of the dumpster and throwing it in.

Yeah his name is Port something and he was the owner. He them got shut down and opened a new store under his mothers name. And since he closed that one to open a new store that just kind of fizzeled out and haven't seen him since. Thank god
