PostSubject: ZooMed Eco Earth   11/16/2008, 4:40 pm

Wasn't sure where to post this, so here goes. I bought a block of eco earth from zoomed this week for my new pandinus cavimanus. When I was breaking the block in the bucket full of water, I felt something prick me in the hand, to my big surprise, it was a rusty nail. I was dissapointed, I was sure a product such a this would be real "clean" for our pets. Went to check their website to see if I could sent them an e-mail, but I didn't find any link. Didn't keep the nail, I could have posted a picture.

Um, ouch?

There's a link on this page to email them for customer service.

That's pretty messed up that there'd be a nail in there.

i have found bits and pieces of a blue and red wrapper in a brick i had bought as well.
i just removed the wrapper but rust is NO GOOD FOR ANYTHING. i wouldn't use that dirt i would get new stuff but that's me and i know what rust does to fish so i could imagine what it would do to a scorp who decided to drink up some moisture out of the substrate and drink up some rust residue.
